QuickCal FAQ & Guides

Find fast answers to common questions about importing and synchronizing timetables, class schedules, Excel tables, and PDF schedules to Google Calendar.

How do I import my work or class schedule into Google Calendar from an image?

With QuickCal, you can extract a schedule from an image to google calendar in seconds. Simply take a screenshot or upload an image of your class schedule, university timetable, or work shifts. Our system automatically parses the events, lists them in an editable table for your review, and exports them directly into your primary Google Calendar with a single click.

No manual entry is required, saving you from tedious date copying and formatting errors.

How does Gemini add events from a timetable image to Google Calendar?

Our backend utilizes the advanced Google Gemini Multimodal Vision API to process and understand your timetable image. The AI models extract the precise text, identify event titles, locations, and match weekday timings (e.g. MONDAY 09:00 - 10:30). The parsed schema is sent to your client browser where you review it, and then our secure endpoint pushes the events directly to your calendar using the official Google Calendar API.

How can I convert and import Excel or CSV spreadsheets into Google Calendar?

To sync excel to google calendar or import csv to google calendar:

  • Upload your Excel sheet (.xls, .xlsx) or CSV directly to the upload zone.
  • Our backend service parses the rows, extracting titles, start/end times, and weekly recurrences.
  • Once verified on the review screen, click Confirm & Sync to write the schedule to your calendar.

This is the easiest way to convert excel to google calendar without having to build custom templates or write CSV loaders.

Can I upload and convert PDF timetables to Google Calendar?

Yes! QuickCal allows you to import pdf to google calendar. Our vision engine scans PDF documents (like class syllabus documents, course rosters, or gym timetables), extracts schedule blocks, and sets them up in your Google Calendar as recurring weekly events.

Is there a specific template required for importing schedules?

Unlike standard Google Calendar CSV imports, QuickCal does not require a rigid google calendar import schedule template. Because our system is powered by multimodal AI, it can read virtually any schedule format: university grids, screenshots from mobile apps, calendar tables, Excel charts, or text documents. You can upload it raw, review the parsed rows, and edit them on the fly.

How secure is QuickCal when connecting to my Google account?

QuickCal is designed with a privacy-first approach:

  • OAuth 2.0 Security: We use Google Identity Services token clients. You authenticate directly with Google, and your credentials are never seen or stored on our servers.
  • Short-lived access tokens: We only capture a temporary token to write the events to your primary calendar, which expires automatically.
  • No database storage: We do not store your schedule data or personal calendars.
